Shane Lake, in Forests for the World, is only 10 minutes from downtown Prince George. Its close proximity to the city makes it an excellent urban fishery. The fish are not picky and any fly that is a size 12 or smaller in dark colours will do very well.

If you want to get the kids into fishing this is the lake to take them. It has two big docks from which you can fish.

(The better fishing is from the dock across the lake.)
